Sexy Hair for the summer!
When the sun is out it is nice to have the light make your hair shimmer and shine. I think everyone should get a few highlights for the upcoming summer season. Those who dare to dye dark can risk the colour fading faster because of the extended hours of and increased exposure to the sunlight. Anyone can add a few honey caramel or shimmering blonde highlights to their hair, got red hair? then go for a strawberry blonde!

Highlights really break up a solid colour, it makes your hair look revitalized, refreshed and sparkley! Be sure to get these done by a professional, baddly done highlights can make solid blotches in your hair, or make your hair turn the wrong colour (like orange ..eeeek!) if you’re not careful. Spend the extra cash and it will be well worth it.

Tip: If you’re really strapped for cash then check out local hair school’s (they usually do a good job, cost ALOT less probably 75% off of what you would pay in a normal salon. Just expect to spend a bit more time in there). There’s LA School of Hair Design in Lethbridge. (my sister goes there!)
Hair Extensions

When you get sick of long hair it is so easy to just cut it all off; but what if you have short hair and decide you want it long? Extensions make that dream possible and with so many kinds out there, everyone can find the perfect set of locks.
1.Braid in extension – strands of hair are braided in by a professional
2.Glue in extensions – strands or strips of hair are glued onto the hair by a professional
3.Clip in extensions – my favorite! I own a set, you can put them in at your own leisure, they aren’t damaging to your hair, they come out without hassle. They are also the most affordable option, fake hair cost about $120 a set and real hair can cost from $200 and up.

You can get 2 types of hair:
1.Real hair- I reccomend these because you can wash them, style them just like your own hair. I own real hair extensions and they appear more natural in your hair as well.
2.fake hair – this are fine if you never plan on changing the look of your extensions, beware if heat is applied the hair will melt!
Check ebay for some great deals on extensions!
Bling in you hair?
Trend setting is the job of designers and celebrities. You have to look no further than the red carpet to see what will be hot in the upcoming seasons, hair styles are no different. With being “Green” being hip, comes hair with less fuss, NO more bling. Simple, pulled up styles at the nape of the neck, immperfect styles with loose looks will be seen this year (if there is any red carpets in light of the writers strike).
If we look to the catwalk for inspiration then long hair is back! Although short hair was making an appearance for a while, the classic feminin beauty of long hair will be back in style once again. Some sights are predicting an extension of 2007 hair themes like bobs (like Victoria Beckham or Katie Holmes). http://hairdohairstyles.com has plenty of pictures to help you out if you’re stuck for hair ideas.
