Designer Spotlight : Betsy Johnson!
After that last depressing post I thought I would cheer things up with a little Betsy Johnson, she is a fabulous designer with tons of fun colourful clothes.
Her prom dresses are popular and super cute, they will cost you about $400. Be prepared for bows, lace and ruffles!!
She also has fun handbags, very reasonably priced (lots under $100). Although this style is not for me, it might fit someone who is a little more excentric in their style choice.
The secret to a great Fake tan!
I live in Canada, which means 80% of the time I’m covered up and not getting any sun rays. Many people here resort to tanning beds but with the abundance of skin cancer and UV related skin damages I thought it would be a better thing to investigate spray and at home fake tans.

I have used TONS of products at home, and while they are cheap they don’t work so well. You can get an orange colour and it can also look streaky on you.
But if you must do it at home, get someone to help you, you can’t reach every part of your body yourself. AND EXFOLIATE! before you apply, this can help ease some of the uneveness. Avoid over applying on areas like your elbows, knees or anywhere the skin is thicker. And if after all of that it still turns out bad then use a mixture of sugar and lemon juice and run it over the really dark spots!!

Also a useful tip, use self bronzers that have colour in them so you can see where you have applied and where you haven’t. Check out Sephorafor self tanning products their Sephora brand tanner has tint in it and retails for only $12. (they also carry self tanner remover!!)
But what I really recommend is going to a professional place (like Sundrops on 17th Ave in Calgary). Get someone to hand spray you this can help with it looking even and not too dark. It does cost more but I think the overall look you get is worth it. (last time I was there it was $30 a session, which lasts until your skin renews which is different for everyone)
Desinger Spotlight: Jean Paul Gaultier
He brought fun to the fashion runways with a pirate themed show, not sure how the hats would wear in day to day life but never less it was a great show to watch.
